STUDIES
U.S. ski and snowboard visits dropped 14% in the 2025-2026 season, falling from 61.6 million to 52.6 million, according to National Ski Areas Association data. The decline was driven by the lowest national snowfall total in more than a decade, with the Rockies absorbing the steepest regional drop from 26.5 million to 20.1 million visits. NSAA
